Rasa and the Temple of the Heart

Live Raaga music and Rasa meditation open doorways to the heart, which contains the seed of our soul. Ancient ones called this doorway a temple, the Hridaya.

We will share the teachings of the Rasas – essences of emotions- and work on a practical level with them in group mediations on sonic geometry. Aligning with the resonance of our owns souls frequency.
The ancient music healing practice of Indian Raags will be played live with the emotionally rich instrument Bansuri accompanied by Tampura.

We will delve into the qualities of the heart, using contrasting Raags one by one, journeying into the various Rasas of love, bhakti, awe , peace, joy and introspection.

Conscious work with the emotions are a catalyst to awakening to the self and the ‘ higher ‘ divine emotions or soul, gently breaking down the limitations of the perceived ego. Healing music as a tool holds us in a safe space of beauty and love and thus allows us to open to ourselves and feel the heart more deeply. Our own unique souls resonance then begins to be felt within the collective symphony of souls, in other words oneness..

Raags use combinations of notes and much more, to bring Rasas to life in the minds and hearts of the player and deep listener. Various Raags deliberately evoke a mix of Rasas to create subtle forms of feelings that cannot be simply described- for example- as either joyous, melancholic, or meditative but as an enigmatic and mystical combination of all them. which arises further feelings beyond words.

We will create a temple of sacred music with meditation, focusing on the heart and opening to the vastness of the emotions as we connect deeply as a group. Bringing us to the divine expansiveness of the eternal beloved heart, and our souls quest in this life.
